"Never give up on anybody." - Hubert H. Humphrey
In other news, new construction has begun on a small project over at my dad's house during his vacation. Here are the first steps in production of the BB576 Bluenose:
From the billing boat website: "The schooner Bluenose has a very special place in the history of navigation and yachting. Built to fish off the Newfoundland coast, the ship soon turned out to be such a fast sailer that she won all the great classical regattas along the USA's Eastern coast. She was built in Nova Scotia in 1921, and shipwrecked near Haiti in 1946. A true copy - Bluneose II - was launched in 1964."
Models are awesome. I expect to be working on this ship for a little while, spending a few evenings over at my dad's house trying to get it done. Hope it wont take away too much time from construction on the Unseen University. The finished product wont look anything like this at all, even though the instuctions imply that it should:
Whoops, that is a cat. This is the boat the instructions imply I should end up with:
They are lies, though. And they are mostly not in English. I will be lucky if I even end up with a boat.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse or will;
The ship is anchor'd safe and sound, its voyage closed and
done;
From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won
